Residential Renovation
Queens
Avenue
Private Home / Four Month Build
Queens Avenue follows a residential renovation in IG8, documented over four months as a family kitchen was opened up and rebuilt. Photography and film trace the project from demolition and structural work to the finished space, capturing the construction process and the decisions behind it.
The approach
Rather than arriving only at completion, we returned throughout the build to record the project as it changed. Wider frames show walls opening, floors lifted and new structure introduced, while closer observations focus on tools, materials and the people doing the work. The resulting film and photography create a record of the renovation as a process, not simply a finished interior.
